Cove Lane Road and Culvert Repair

Erosion and age had taken their toll on Cove Lane and the culverts beneath it, and the culvert beneath Sunset Way emptying into Cove Lane creek. The heavy rains and flood from the winter of 2005 caused considerable damage to the road and culverts, to the point where the road was being undermined in several locations. Repairs were made to fix the road and shore up the sides to prevent further erosion, and allow water to flow unimpeded to the ocean.

Old Culverts beneath Cove Lane in foreground. They are stacked upside down because the bottoms had completely rusted out. Aluminum culvert removed from Bello-Seacape drainage ditch is in background, which could be re-used.
